Fault-Protected Switches & Multiplexers

Analog Devices Fault-Protected Switches & Multiplexers provide protection against overvoltage, power off, high ESD, and latch-up. These Analog Devices switches and multiplexers, optimized for robustness and protection, and offer high performance in industry-leading small packages. The devices protect themselves and are typically used at the edges of the PCB where overvoltage issues are likely to occur.

ADG5404 High Voltage Latch-up Proof Multiplexers

Analog Devices ADG5404 High Voltage Latch-up Proof Multiplexers are complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) analog multiplexers with four single channels. ADG5404 Multiplexers are developed using a trench process that guards against latch-up. The P and N channel transistors are separated by a dielectric trench to prevent latch-up even under severe overvoltage conditions. The devices switch one of four inputs to a common output, D, as indicated by the 3-bit binary address lines, A0, A1, and EN. Each switch performs equally well in both directions when on and has an input signal range that extends to the supplies. When in the off condition, signal levels up to the supplies are blocked.
