ADuM140x Quad-Channel Digital Isolators

Analog Devices ADuM140x Quad-Channel Digital Isolators feature 4/0 channel directionality based on iCoupler® technology. A digital isolator is used to eliminate ground-loop errors that can cause noise, hum, and interference in digital components. iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with optocouplers by avoiding the use of light-emitting diodes and photodiodes. The need for external drivers and other discrete components is eliminated with iCoupler products. The digital isolators can be used in general-purpose multichannel isolation, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)/data converter isolation, industrial field bus isolation, transceivers, and automotive systems.

Analog Devices Robust iCoupler Digital Isolators

Analog Devices Robust iCoupler® Digital Isolators ensure safe system performance for applications operating in noisy, harsh, and unpredictable environments. These iCoupler isolators feature high-speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer technology and an on-off-keying (OOK) architecture. The isolators offer outstanding performance and proven galvanic isolation. To protect data signals, these iCoupler digital isolators provide the industry's highest surge protection of 16kVpk and withstand voltage ratings up to 5kVrms. For additional surge protection, the isolators have a 10KV reinforced surge rating. To support high-speed communications and data integrity, the isolators have 150Mbps throughput, 14ns max. propagation delay, and 100kV/µs transient immunity. Suitable for a wide variety of applications, the isolators operate over a 1.7V to 5.5V supply range and feature 1 to 4 input channels.
