Microchip Technology 16-Bit PIC24 Microcontrollers (MCUs) and dsPIC Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs) offer high-performance, low-power consumption, flexible peripherals, and a complete development ecosystem of software and hardware tools to speed application development. With specialized peripherals for motor control, digital power conversion, low power security, and advanced analog integration, the Microchip Technology 16-Bit portfolio offers a good balance between low power and high performance. The broad product line includes everything from eXtreme Low Power (XLP) microcontrollers to high-performance dual-core digital signal controllers.

PIC24F 16-Bit MCUs

Microchip Technology PIC24F 16-bit Microcontrollers (MCUs) utilize two methods of programming, In-Circuit Serial Programming™ (ICSP™) and Enhanced In-Circuit Serial Programming (Enhanced ICSP). In addition, the PIC24F MCUs from Microchip Technology power their core digital logic at a nominal 1.8V and incorporate an on-chip regulator that allows the device to run its core logic from VDD, simplifying system design. These 16-bit MCUs also have three separate pairs of programming pins that can be utilized by either ICSP™ or Enhanced ICSP programming methods.

Microchip Technology Microcontrollers (MCUs) with Integrated ADCs are a cost-effective, low-power PIC24F family of MCUs that feature devices with eXtreme Low Power (XLP) technology. These devices also include 16MHz performance and dual-partition memory with up to 1024KB of Flash and a rich Core Independent Peripherals (CIPs) set. With Flash memory densities ranging from 16KB to 1MB and packages ranging from 28–121 pins, the PIC24F family gives the user a differentiated general-purpose MCU ideal for many space-constrained, low-power, cost-sensitive industrial, audio, and consumer applications. The Microchip PIC24F portfolio also offers an upgrade in features and peripherals for applications pushing the boundaries of 8-bit MCU capabilities, making it the ideal migration device for former 8-bit MCU users.

PIC24FJxxGx 16-bit Microcontrollers

Microchip Technology PIC24FJ64Gx, PIC24FJ128Gx, and PIC24FJ256Gx 16-bit Microcontrollers (MCUs) are ideal for low power and connectivity applications. These devices offer multiple I2C, SPI, and UART peripherals, and multiple independent timers. These MCUs are available with 8kB to 16kB RAM memory for buffering and 64kB to 256kB Enhanced Flash program memory. The PIC24FJxxGx family of microcontrollers are offered in in 28, 44, 64, 80, 100, and 121 pin packages for design flexibility.
