SM8SxxH Automotive TVS Diodes

Eaton Electronics SM8SxxH Automotive TVS Diodes are AEC-Q101 qualified and offer a peak power rating of 6600W at 95.1A to 226A current range. These diodes feature low inductance, low leakage current, and excellent voltage clamping capability. The SM8SxxH diodes leverage a V-Groove interlock and dimple design that offers high reliability. These TVS diodes are available in a broad range of footprints designed with the DO-218AB package. The SM8SxxH diodes operate from 18V to 43V voltage range and -55°C to 150°C temperature range. Typical applications include networking systems and body electronics, ADAS and safety systems, automotive lighting, and battery management systems.

Automotive-Rated HP TVS Diodes

Eaton Automotive-Rated High Power Transient Voltage Suppression (HP TVS) Diodes provide overvoltage protection for electronic equipment with fast response times, low clamping voltage, and high peak current capability. These highly reliable TVS diodes are AEC-Q101 qualified and come in both surface-mount and radial/through-hole footprints. The modules utilize silicon avalanche technology for excellent protection against damaging transient surges, from electrostatic discharge (ESD) to induced lightning. Eaton automotive-rated HP TVS diodes include product families that meet up to ISO 16750-2 5a and 5b standards. These diodes are ideal for protecting critical circuits.

High Power TVS Diodes

Eaton High Power TVS Diodes deliver reliable overvoltage protection with fast response times, low clamping voltage, and high peak current capability for electronic equipment. These devices utilize silicon avalanche technology to protect critical circuits against damaging transient surges, including electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transient (EFT), and lightning strikes. The high peak power, current capability, and fast-acting response times make these diodes ideal for protecting critical circuits. Eaton High Power TVS Diodes are available in surface-mount and radial or through-hole footprints in industry-standard sizes for both ESD and high-power suppression. Typical applications include 5G, consumer, computing, energy, industrial, and medical devices.

Battery Management Systems

Eaton provides a wide portfolio of products for Battery Management Systems (BMS), including terminal blocks, fuses, supercapacitors, chokes, inductors, and more. Battery Management Systems monitor individual cells, system voltage, current, and temperature. When monitoring individual cells, the BMS balances voltages and regulates the current flow, and if the upper or lower voltage, current, or temperature limit is exceeded, the BMS temporarily disconnects the load or source. Eaton Battery Management Systems estimate the State of Health (SoH), State of Charge (SoC), State of Energy (SoE), and State of Power (SoP) in batteries.
