Digi XBee 3 BLU Bluetooth Modules, Available from Mouser Electronics, Enable Easy Wireless Connectivity

Digi XBee 3 BLU is Digi's first Bluetooth^® module partnering with Silicon Labs, featuring the Silicon Labs EFR32MG System-on-Chip (SoC). Digi XBee 3 BLU modules offer designers and OEMs an easy-to-use Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 solution for connectivity in industrial wireless IoT sensors, edge computing, and smart home applications.

The Digi XBee 3 BLU modules, available from Mouser, are pre-certified in classic XBee form factors (MMT and through-hole), offering MicroPython programmability, beaconing, Bluetooth sensor support, and the Digi XBee Mobile App to fast-track use in industrial wireless projects. Digi XBee modules integrate the Digi TrustFence® security framework, comprising secure boot, hardware cryptographic acceleration, and true random number generation, with additional Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 security through pairing, bonding, and encrypted advertising. Standard XBee API frames, AT commands, MicroPython, and Digi XBee Studio make setting up, configuring, testing, or modernizing module functionality easy. The XBee 3 BLU modules offer a robust industrial temperature range (-40 °F to 185 °F) for product and application development, deployment, and management.

The Digi XK3-B5M-WBT XBee 3 BLU development kit, also available from Mouser, integrates a compact, flexible Digi XBee 3 BLU module, MMT with RF pad, an XBIB interface board, a U.FL connector antenna, Digi XBee Studio, Digi XBee Tools, and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity for IoT devices. The development kit includes four "Quick Setup" demos to test the Digi XBee 3 BLU, XBee Mobile App, and XBee Interface boards. The XBee Mobile App enables interaction, sending Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements, and testing real-time beaconing advertisements and detection. A Bluetooth Low Energy Scan and Connect demo allows users to scan and secure connections using MicroPython support.
