Mouser-Sponsored Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing Team Heads to America’s Dairyland for the IMSA SportsCar Weekend
July 30, 2024 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, is ready to cheer on the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team on August 4, 2024, for the IMSA SportsCar Weekend at Road America in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
The famed Road America circuit is well known across international motorsports. It consists of 14 turns and has a track length of just over 4 miles. Sitting on a 640-acre property, it attracts over 800,000 visitors a year from all around the globe. The track's configuration has remained unchanged since it first opened in 1955, making it a permanent road course that has stood the test of time.
The 2024 season marks the sixth season Lexus and Vasser Sullivan have partnered together. The full-time driver lineups for Vasser Sullivan Racing include Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat in the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 in the GTD PRO class, with Parker Thompson and Frankie Montecalvo co-driving the No. 12 Lexus entry in the GTD class. Kyle Kirkwood and Aaron Telitz join the driver pairs in the No. 14 and 12 cars for select IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship endurance races this season.
Currently, the No. 14 car is in third place in the GTD PRO class standings, and the No. 12 car is in fifth place in the GTD class standings. With just three more races left in the season after Road America, points will be at a premium for this weekend.
